TIME Social dancing 9:30 PM - 1:00 AM.  There is a partner-work class at 8:00 PM before the social.

TYPE OF EVENT & VENUE A pure On 2 salsa social party held in a well-appointed dance studio with wood floor, lots of space with big windows, professional sound system, with cash beverages available. 
 
MUSIC Mostly pure classic salsa and some Cuban timba plus a little cha cha.
DANCE PERFORMANCES Occasionally, may be scheduled in the future.  See our Main Calendar for performer information.
DJ  DJ Franklin Diaz and occasional invited guest DJs.
BAND None.
DANCE FLOOR Wooden dance floor that is "medium speed".
PRICES Admission $15.
BEVERAGES AND FOOD No food.  There are vending machines for beverages.
DRESS CODE Casual.

"New York On 2" timing and style and " Franklin Diaz style".

DESCRIPTION

 Franklin Diaz invites mambo dancers to a unique social where mambo meets timba, a Cuban style of salsa music.  He will be presenting the musical atmosphere of the old Palladium days and the flavor of both New York City mambo and Cuba.
 

HOW TO GET THERE Held at Adelante Dance Studio, 25 West 31st Street (between 5th Avenue & Broadway), 2nd floor, midtown Manhattan, NYC.  Click Here For Map .

Nearby Subways: 34th St Station on B, D, F, M, N, Q, R, & PATH trains.

By car:  Street parking is possible, but allow a bit of time for looking for a parking spot.  There are some parking garages nearby.  Be sure to check the parking signs carefully because sometimes there are night parking restrictions.
