DANCE TIMING

Mostly "New York On 2" timing and style.

DESCRIPTION Carlos Hernandez and Arlette Guerra founded Zafire Dance Project a few years ago after performing in several top NYC pro teams such as Karisma and Yamulee.  The are well-known for their intense and energetic dancing style and have quite quickly become known in the NYC mambo community and also at national and international salsa congresses and festivals.

They invite all the tri-state mambo dancers to this special anniversary party which is well-attended by salseros of all levels, where they play excellent music and where there are performances by several dance teams.  This is a classic "uptown social" with plenty of Latino flavor being brought downtown for everyone to come and enjoy.

This event is held in the very large Stepping Out Studios where many of our On 2 events have been held in the past.  The dance floor is huge with plenty of room for all the dancers.  It is a professional-level wooden floor that is "medium speed".

HOW TO GET THERE The event is being held at the Stepping Out Studios, 37 West 26th Street (between Broadway and 6th Avenue/aka Avenue of the Americas).   For exact location on a map which you can zoom in and out, Click Here For Map.  Closest subway stations are the 23rd or 28th Street Stations on the N, R or W lines, and also the 23rd Street Station on the F or V lines.  It is usually fairly easy to park within a few blocks if you drive around a few minutes.
