Held at Dardo Galletto Studios, 151 West 46 Street (between Broadway/7th Avenue and 6th Avenue),  11th floor   Located in the heart of Manhattan's midtown Times Square theater district, right next door to Havana Central Restaurant.

TYPE OF EVENT & VENUE A predominantly On 2 dance event held for the mambo dancers held in an attractive, newly renovated square-shaped studio with an excellent "medium speed" dance floor, mirrored walls, DJ sound system and seating/lounging areas.  A special attraction is complementary sangria and tropical cocktails which are made fresh by the bartender all night long.
 
MUSIC Almost entirely pure classic salsa/mambo with a touch of cha cha.
DANCE PERFORMANCES Usually.  They are listed on our Main Calendar.
DJ DJ "Doc Salsa" Steve Shaw from www.SalsaNewYork.com and DJ Angel Ortiz.
BAND None.
DANCE FLOOR Excellent hardwood ballroom-class dance floor which is "medium speed".
PRICES Admission is $11.
BEVERAGES AND FOOD Water and soft drinks for sale.  Light refreshments will be served.  A special attraction is complementary sangria and tropical cocktails which are made fresh by the bartender all night long.
 
DRESS CODE Dance casual.

Almost entirely "New York On 2" timing and style.

DESCRIPTION A friendly and fun atmosphere for all that love mambo and salsa to come and dance the night away.  See old friends, make new ones.  All are invited to this mambo social which is presented by veteran New York City On 2 instructor and performer "La Mambera" Glenda Heffer, who has performed internationally with both the "Eddie Torres Dancers" and later in the team "Mambo D & La Mambera".  She has been in the On 2 New York salsa scene for close to 20 years. She has worked with some of the biggest names in mambo to share her love of dancing with everyone she meets both domestically and abroad.
 
HOW TO GET THERE

By Train:  Take the B, D, F, M trains to the 47th-50th St. Rockefeller Center Station; or the 1, 2, 3 to 42nd St./Times Square Station; or the A, C, E trains to 42nd St./Port Authority Station; or the N, Q, R to the 42nd or 49th Street Stations. It's just a short walk from any of these stations to the studio.
