A salsa dancing event to help raise money for the Puerto Rican recovery
from hurricane damage held at a very nice
nightclub,
La Nueva Elegancia,
with big dance floor, plenty of tables and seating, a stage for the live
band, a professional sound system and a full bar and open kitchen with
delicious Latin food.
This venue is a really great place for a salsa event. |

DANCE TIMING |
Almost entirely "New York On 2" timing and style, but everyone is invited
no matter how they dance. It's all for the love of salsa and raising
donations for a very good cause. |
| DESCRIPTION |
This event is a big fundraising event held in a very nice nightclub, the
La Nueva Elegancia, with a full restaurant and
bar. There will be a live band, Danny Matos Y Su Son Candela, with additional music by DJ Mario
B.
Lots of On 2 dancer partners will be there from the tri-state area mambo
community. This is to raise money for the recovery of Puerto Rico after
the devastation caused by the hurricane.
A pure mambo dancer's event brought to us by NJ performer, instructor,
choreographer and
all-around nice guy Mario
Gonzalez, AKA "Mambo Mario B". In addition to his own teams, he has
performed with the Santo Rico Dance
Company and the Mambo Mamas. He is also a popular salsa DJ.

| HOW TO GET THERE |

Use Google map in SmartPhone for easy driving instructions, including from
Manhattan through the Lincoln Tunnel. There's parking
at a municipal parking lot 1 block away at 57th & Madison Streets.
From Manhattan via Lincoln Tunnel: Heading out of the tunnel on the
NJ side, head straight on NJ 495 and then up around the big uphill left turn.
Stay in right lane. Take the "Boulevard East / Weehawken"
turnoff on the right. At the bottom of the turnoff, at the gas station,
swing right and up the hill, then down the other side. At that point you
are going along the Hudson River on your right, with the buildings of NYC on the
other side. Continue along Blvd. East to 60th Street, then turn left.
Go several blocks, then turn left onto Jackson Street. Go a few blocks to
the corner of Jackson and 57th Street. La Nueva Elegancia is on your left.
For parking, turn left onto 57th Street and go 1 block to Madison Street, turn
left and on your right you will see a big public parking lot. In the
middle of the lot is the place to pay. You will have to put in the number
of the parking slot you want, so choose your spot before you go to the pay
machine. It takes credit cards. Parking is free at the lot after a
certain time, I think it's 9:00 PM, check the sign at the entrance.

21 and over to drink alcoholic beverages. Anyone under 21
can attend, but can only drink non-alcoholic beverages.
